The Gift Of God

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning” (James 1:17).

Every Word that came down from God is perfect. The psalmist says, “The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple” (Psalm 19:7).

All Scripture came down from God, and they are good and perfect because they came from the perfect God, as it is written: “Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect” (Matthew 5:48).

Someone said to Jesus, “Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?” Jesus replied, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments” (Matthew 19:16-17).

The Word of God is that good and perfect One; all humans are imperfect. We can only become perfect if we keep Christ, the Word of God, for He alone is the good and the perfect One.

Jesus said to the woman of Samaria who came to draw water, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, Give Me a drink, you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water” (John 4:10).

The woman was thinking of the natural water. Jesus, however, was talking of the Scripture, which is living water. As Jesus said, “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water” (John 7:38).

Anyone who believes in the Scripture, and receives the Bible as that good and that perfect gift from God, shall be filled with the Spirit of the Word. The Spirit of the Scripture is the gift and the Promise of the Father.

That’s why Jesus said to His disciples, “Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high” (Luke 24:49).

Jesus was speaking about the spiritual understanding of the Scripture that would come upon His disciples. That the disciples would receive power to witness the Word of God after the Holy Spirit of the Bible comes upon them (see Acts 1:8).

God’s Promise is to give us spiritual wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of His Word. It is the Holy Spirit that enlightens the eyes of our mind to understand the Bible, so that we can receive the gift of the Holy Scripture (see John 14:26).

We must receive the Son of God, which is the Word of God, before we can receive the Spirit of the Bible, which is the Father. That’s why Jesus says, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6).

The Holy Spirit of God gave birth to all Scripture. Only those who believe and open their hearts to the Word can receive the gift of God. Whoever receives the Bible as the true Word of God shall be filled with the Spirit of the Bible (see Acts 10:44).

When we love the Word of God and keep the Scripture in our heart, the Holy Spirit of the Bible, which is the Father, will also love us, and the Father and His Son will come into us and dwell permanently (see John 14:23).

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, open my heart and plant your living Word in me, in Jesus name. Amen.

The True God

“But the Lord is the true God; He is the living God and the everlasting King. At His wrath the earth will tremble, and the nations will not be able to endure His indignation” (Jeremiah 10:10).

Scripture says “the Lord is the true God.” One may now question who is the Lord? The answer is found in Philippians 2:11, “And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

Jesus Christ is Lord, according to the Scripture, and He is the Word of God that became a human being, as it written: “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us” (John 1:14).
God is invisible Word. Anyone who comes to the Scripture has come to that invisible Word that gave us the Bible. The Scripture is the express manifestation of the true God and the Word of God indeed.
When we read the Bible we are seeing the true God, which is why Jesus says, “And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me” (John 12:45). The Word is the brightness and the express image of the invisible God (see Hebrews 1:3).
John wrote, “And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life” (1 John 5:20).
Jesus Christ is the true God and eternal life. “God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life” (1 John 5:11-12).
The Scripture says anyone who believes in the Scripture has everlasting life. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
Whoever believes that the Scripture is the true Word of God, believes not just in the Scripture but in God who gave us the Bible. Whoever looks at the Scripture is looking, in fact, at God who sent the Word.
Jesus summed it all up when He says, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life” (John 5:24).
Anyone who believes that the Word of God is Jesus Christ, whom God sent, has everlasting life. Jesus says, “And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent” (John 17:3)
The God of the Bible is the true God, and the Scripture is the truth of God Himself. Therefore Jesus says, “Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth” (John 17:17).
The Word is Jesus Christ the Lord; He is the way to the true God, and no one can come to the true God except through the Bible, because all Scripture, and the Scripture alone, came from the true God.
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, turn my heart toward your Word, so that I will dwell in you forever, in Jesus name. Amen.

God With Us

“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us” (Matthew 1:23).

Scripture says it was God that became human through the virgin birth. The Child that was conceived of the Holy Spirit was God Himself who took the form of a human, which was Jesus Christ, the Word of God.

Christ the Word became a human, as it is written: “And when eight days were completed for the circumcision of the Child, His name was called Jesus, the name given by the angel before He was conceived in the womb” (Luke 2:21).

Isaiah foretold the coming of this God, when he prophesied saying, “For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given…And His name will be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God” (Isaiah 9:6).

At the time set by God, the Word of God, the Holy Scripture was made a human. The Scripture that God revealed through the prophets during the Old Testament period was made human in Christ.

The apostle John wrote saying, “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth” (John 1:14).

Scripture is that Word that became flesh, which is Jesus Christ, the true Creator that created all things in the beginning: “For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible” (Colossians 1:16).

Through the Bible we see Christ the true Word of God. Therefore Scripture says anyone who comes to the Word of God must believe that He is the true God with us (see Hebrews 11:6).

Scripture is the only way we can see God, and without faith in the Word of God it is impossible to please God. All Scripture is God’s inspired and infallible revelation of Himself, and the evidence of the invisible God.

The God of Scripture is the Word, which is that God with us. The Scripture says, “The Lord is with you while you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you” (2 Chronicles 15:2).

God wants us to seek out of the Bible and read: “Not one of these shall fail; not one shall lack her mate. For My mouth has commanded it, and His Spirit has gathered them” (Isaiah 34:16).

The apostle Paul wrote, “That God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation” (2 Corinthians 5:19).

Paul is saying that the Word of reconciliation is that God who was in the Man Christ Jesus. That Word of reconciliation is the Scripture which is among mankind. The Word of God and the Scripture are one.

God gave birth to all Scripture, which is that everlasting Son of God. The Holy Scripture is God’s true expression of Himself. The Bible is the true Word of God, and the real person of Jesus Christ.

When we come to the Bible we have come to the Word of God. Anyone who comes to the Word must believe that He is God. It was the Scripture that became a human, which is Jesus Christ, the true God with us.

PRAYER
Dear Father, open my understanding so that I will seek your Word with my whole heart and soul, in Jesus name. Amen.

Jesus the Son of God

“Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God” (1 John 4:15).

God’s plan is to save us through faith in His Son Jesus Christ. The apostle Paul wrote, “Even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ” (Romans 3:22). That through faith in Jesus Christ people shall be saved.

The Scripture spoke about this plan long ago. That through faith in the Son of God, the whole world including the Gentiles would be justified. God says He will accept and declare people “not guilty” if they believe in Jesus Christ (see Galatians 3:14).

It is only those people who believe in Jesus Christ shall be saved. “The scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe” (Galatians 3:22).

When Abraham believed the Scripture, God accepted him as righteous because of his faith. So God confirmed in Abraham the righteousness of faith, that if anyone believes in the Scripture they shall be saved (see Galatians 3:6-7).

God called Abraham to bless him through His Word, and Abraham believed, and he was blessed. God justifies people through their faith in His Word, and God does this to all who believe in Christ, there is no difference at all (see Galatians 5:6).

The Scripture was the Covenant God made with Abraham, and by the same Word He swore to Isaac, it is the very Scripture God established in Israel as the everlasting Covenant of God (see Psalm 105:8-10).

That God which Abraham believed was the Scripture. The same Word was the God of Isaac and Jacob. It was the Scripture God gave to the Israelites by Moses, which is Christ, the Son of the living God (see John 1:17).

Anyone who believes that the Word of God is the only begotten Son of God shall be saved. The Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame” (Romans 10:11).

The Word is the only true God; all other gods are imaginations and forgeries. God is Word and that Word gave birth to the Bible, as it is written: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (John 1:1).

All Scripture are the spoken Word of God, the Word through which God created all things. Scripture is the first-born Son of God Himself, the visible of the invisible God, which is Christ (see Colossians 1:15).

Scripture is superior to all created things. God created all things through His Word. That Word and the Scripture are one. The Scripture is the only begotten Son of God the Father. That’s why Jesus says, “I and My Father are one” (John 10:30).

God wants us to believe the Scripture and be saved. Anyone who believes in the perfect Word of liberty, and receives the written Word of God in the Bible as the Son of God, is blessed as the faithful Abraham (see Galatians 3:9).

PRAYER
Dear Father, send the Spirit of your Word into my heart so that I will become a witness of the living Word of God, in Jesus name. Amen.

Jesus is Lord

“And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:11).

God made His Word, the Word we read in the Bible, to be the one and only true Head. Jesus says, “But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren” (Matthew 23:8).

The Father has highly elevated the Word and made the Scripture the Lord. That’s why the Bible says, “Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name” (Philippians 2:9).

When God raised Jesus from the dead, He made the Word of God the overall head. Christ rule is above all rulers, authorities, and governments; He has a title superior to all titles of authority in this world and in the next (see Ephesians 1:21).

As countries give name to their leader; some nations call their leader prime minister, some call them president. God also has given His Word the highest name because He is the Leader over all creation.

Therefore at the name of Jesus, or at the name of the Word of God, all creation including mankind should bow, and every tongue should confess that the Word of God is Lord to the glory of God the Father who gave us the Scripture.

Among mankind, no one is greater than the law, both the president, or prime minister, and governors, and judges, in short, everyone submits to the rule of law. The constitution governs all within that nation.

In the same way, God has a law that governs and rules His creation. The supreme law of God’s creation is Jesus Christ the Word of God, King of kings, and Lord of lords (see Revelation 19:13-16).

The Father made His Word the Lord and Master over mankind. Jesus says, “Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am” (John 13:13). Jesus Christ is the one and the only true Master over all creation.

God is a Spirit, no one can see Him, and no one will ever see God. The only way to see God is through the Scripture, which is Christ. The Scripture is the Son of God. He is Lord. He is the express image of the person of God.

The Godhead dwells in the Scripture. It pleased God the Father that in the Bible should the fullness of God dwells. The Word of God is the express manifestation of the invisible God (see Colossians 1:15-19).

Scripture is the only way to God, the Word is the only true God, and the God of the Bible is the living God. No one can come to God the Father except through the Bible. The Word of God is Jesus Christ the Lord.

Anyone who believes that the Word of God is Jesus Christ shall be saved. Salvation comes no other way; no other name has been or will be given to us by which we can be saved, only this one name of the Holy Bible, which is Jesus Christ (see Acts 4:12).

PRAYER
Dear heavenly Father, in your great love save me, so that I can truly obey your Word of hope, in Jesus name. Amen.

Friends Of God

“And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. And he was called the friend of God” (James 2:23).

Abraham was called God’s friend because he believed the Word of God. Everyone that believe the Scripture are friends of God. Jesus says, “You are My friends if you do whatever I command you” (John 15:14).

True faith in God is expressed toward the Scripture. Paul wrote, “And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, in you all the nations shall be blessed” (Galatians 3:8).

God foretold in Scripture that He would save people who believe in the Word of God like Abraham. Scripture anticipated this in the promise God made to Abraham, that through faith in the Scripture anyone would be saved.

Friends of God are those who believe in the Word; the Word God gave us in the Bible. Scripture says, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him” (John 14:23).

All Scripture from Genesis to Revelation came by the Holy Spirit. The invisible God spoke and gave birth to the Bible. We should believe in the Scripture as the sure Word of prophecy which lives and abides forever (see 1 Peter 1:23).

God wants us to keep His Word in our hearts as the Son of God. That is, we should believe that the Scripture is Christ the beloved Son of God. That’s why Jesus says, “If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed” (John 8:31).

The Word is the Son of God Himself, the writing of God, written by the Spirit of God. We are admonished to believe in the Word for God loved us so much that He gave us His only begotten Son (see John 3:16).

Believe in whom? That we should believe in the Scripture. There is one God and only one, and one Mediator between God and mankind, which is Christ the Word of God, who offered Himself to set us free (see 1 Timothy 2:5-6).

Jesus clearly said that the Scriptures are all about Him: “You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me” (John 5:39).

Therefore the Scripture says, “No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you” (John 15:15).

Scripture is the very Christ of whom God says, this is my beloved Son. He is the only way, He is the only truth, and He is the only life. No one can come to the Father except through Him (see John 14:6).

If you are a friend of God you should love the Scripture “with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. This is the first commandment” (Mark 12:30).

PRAYER:

Dear Lord Jesus, teach me the truth of Scripture so that I will keep your Word always. Amen.

The Great God

“Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ” (Titus 2:13).

Jesus Christ is the Great God and our Saviour. God has given all authority to Jesus Christ to save us, and Jesus claimed it when He said, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth” (Matthew 28:18).

The one thing we need to receive and be saved is Christ the Word of God. That is why the Bible says, “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name” (John 1:12).

When anyone believes that the Scripture is the true Word of God they become members of God’s family. It is through faith in the Word of God we have access by one Spirit to the Father (see Ephesians 2:18).

That’s why Jesus says, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3). Born again of what? We become born again through the Word of God which lives and abides forever (see 1 Peter 1:23).

God the Father made His Word; the Word He gave us in the Bible, the Great God and our Saviour. The apostle Paul wrote that God has highly exalted His Word and gave Him the name of Jesus Christ (see Philippians 2:9-11).

The Lord Jesus said to Pilate: “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here” (John 18:36).

Jesus is saying that He is a King. What sort of King? He is the spiritual King that lives and abides forever. The Word of God is the King over God’s Kingdom, which is that “King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God” (1 Timothy 1:17).

God’s ultimate plan is to rule over all mankind through His Word at the glorious revelation of Jesus Christ. All the kingdoms of this world shall become the kingdoms of Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever (see Revelation 11:15).

The Father ordained the Scripture to be the everlasting head over all nations, including the church. The Word of God is the first-born Son which was raised from death, and He alone has the first position in all things (see Colossians 1:18).

Scripture is the express image of the invisible God, which is Jesus Christ our Saviour. If you confess with your mouth the Word of God is Jesus Christ, “and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9).

The Great God and our Saviour is the Word of God, the Word we read in the Bible. The Holy Scripture is the Lord our Saviour, the King of kings and the Lord of lords. “And His name is called The Word of God” (Revelation 19:13).

PRAYER
Dear heavenly Father, I receive your living Word as my Lord and Saviour, in Jesus name. Amen.

Bible Believers

“The people there were more open-minded than the people in Thessalonica. They listened to the message with great eagerness, and every day they studied the Scriptures to see if what Paul said was really true” (Acts 17:11 GNT).

Scriptures say that the believers in Berea were more open-minded than those in Thessalonica, because after they listened to the preaching of Paul they searched the Scriptures to see whether Paul’s preaching agrees with Scriptures.

If we believe in God we should also believe in His Word. True believers are those who believe in the Scriptures, as we cannot genuinely believe in God whom we have not seen, if we do not believe His Word whom we have seen.

The only way to believe in God is by believing His Word. “No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him” (John 1:18).

God wants us to believe His Word because the Word of God is the express image of the invisible God, which is Jesus Christ. That’s why Jesus says, “You believe in God, believe also in Me” (John 14:1).

Whoever refuses to believe that the Scripture is the Word of God in effect calls God a liar, because they have not believed God’s own testimony. According to the Scripture, God gave birth to the Bible (see 2 Timothy 3:16).

Therefore Jesus says, “He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him—the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day” (John 12:48).

God gave His Son the full right to judge. “Those who believe in the Son are not judged; but those who do not believe have already been judged, because they have not believed in God’s only Son” (John 3:18 GNT).

The Father gave us the Bible so that we should believe in Him. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

When we believe in the Bible we become true believers in God. Jesus says, “For what my Father wants is that all who see the Son and believe in him should have eternal life. And I will raise them to life on the last day” (John 6:40 GNT).

Scripture is the only begotten of the Father, which is Jesus Christ. Through faith in the Bible alone we are saved. “Salvation is to be found through him alone; in all the world there is no one else whom God has given who can save us” (Acts 4:12 GNT).

It was God of the Holy Bible Abraham believed. “And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, in you all the nations shall be blessed” (Galatians 3:8).

The Scripture is that living God Abraham believed. You should understand then that the real descendants of Abraham are the people who have faith in the Bible (see Galatians 3:7).

PRAYER
Dear Father, open my mind to believe the Scriptures with all my heart, in Jesus name. Amen.

The City Of God

“Abraham was waiting for the city which God has designed and built, the city with permanent foundations” (Hebrews 11:10 GNT).

Today, we have come to that City of God with permanent foundations, as it is written: “But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels” (Hebrews 12:22).

When we come to the Bible we have come to the City of the living God, where God Himself dwells. God dwells in His Word, as John wrote: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (John 1:1).

That’s why Jesus says, “Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works” (John 14:10).

The psalmist says, “Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in His holy mountain. Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth, is Mount Zion on the sides of the north, the city of the great King” (Psalm 48:1-2).

That elevated holy mountain is the Word of God, the Word we read in the Bible, God has highly elevated His Word and given Him a name, “that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow” (Philippians 2:10).

The Bible is the mountain of the Temple of God. Isaiah says, “In days to come the mountain where the Temple stands will be the highest one of all, towering above all the hills. Many nations will come streaming to it” (Isaiah 2:2 GNT).

Scripture is that highest One among us.  God has put all things under the authority of the Scripture, and made the Bible the dwelling place of God. The Word is “that great city, the holy Jerusalem” (Revelation 21:10).

God wants us to come to the Bible and receive freedom. Scripture says, “For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, As the Lord has said, among the remnant whom the Lord calls” (Joel 2:32).

Apostle Paul wrote that the children of God are “built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone” (Ephesians 2:20). Do you see the permanent foundation?

Paul says, “Built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets.” Jesus Christ Himself is the foundation, and the joyful gathering place of God’s children, which is that City designed and built by God (see Hebrews 12:23-24).

Every Word in the Bible came out from the Father. God Himself is the source of all Scripture. The Word is that great City that descended from God, the New Jerusalem, which is the Bride, the wife of the Lamb (see Revelation 21:2).

The Holy Bible is that Holy City, heavenly Jerusalem, which is God’s home among His people. Jesus says, “Do your best to go in through the narrow door; because many people will surely try to go in but will not be able” (Luke 13:24 GNT).

PRAYER
Lord Jesus, bring me to the Bible City so that I will dwell in your house forever. Amen.

The Holy Spirit

“Knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit” (2 Peter 1:20-21).

Every Word in the Bible is of the Holy Spirit, the holy prophets and apostles spoke what the Holy Spirit told them. Therefore the Holy Spirit says: “Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts” (Hebrews 3:7-8).

The Spirit of the God is that Holy Spirit of the Bible which came upon the apostles on the Pentecost day, as it is written: “And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh” (Acts 2:17).

If the Holy Spirit of the Bible comes upon anyone they become His prophet, the Spirit gives them power to preach Christ the Word of God, they become witnesses of the Bible: “For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy” (Revelation 19:10).

The only way to receive the Holy Spirit is through the Bible, when we believe in the Scripture, as it is written: “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water” (John 7:38).

God the Father is that Holy Spirit, and He gave birth to the Holy Scripture, which is Jesus Christ, the Almighty Word and our Saviour. That’s why Jesus says, “I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you” (John 14:18).

The Holy Spirit is knocking at the door of our hearts saying, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me” (Revelation 3:20).

If anyone believes in the Scripture, the Holy Spirit will make that person His home. The Bible says, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him” (John 14:23).

The Scripture was preached to the Israelites forty years in the wilderness, but the people did not believe in the Scripture, they rejected Him. “They stumble, being disobedient to the word” (1 Peter 2:8).

It is the same Holy Scripture which is preached to us today, that “word which by the gospel was preached to you” (1 Peter 1:25). Whoever believes in the Scripture has believed the living Word, which is Jesus Christ the true Word of the Holy Spirit.

When we read the Bible we are hearing the voice of the Holy Spirit. We are listening to the Spirit that called Abraham. We are seeing the same Spirit that spoke to Moses in the burning bush. We are looking at the Spirit that moved all His prophets.

It is through the Scripture we all have access to the Holy Spirit. All Scripture is born of the Holy Spirit. There is no other way to receive the Holy Spirit except through the Bible, which is Christ the Son of the Holy Spirit (see Matthew 1:18).

The Spirit of the Holy Scripture is that Holy Spirit, which is the Spirit of Christ. Anyone who receives the Spirit of Scripture is free indeed, because He is that Holy Spirit of freedom, which is Jesus Christ the true Comforter (see 2 Corinthians 3:17).

PRAYER
Lord Jesus, fill me with the Holy Spirit so that your Word will flow out of my heart. Amen.
