God Of The Living Word

“And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?” (Mark 12:24).
The Lord Jesus told the Sadducees (the religious people); they had made a great error because they did not know that the true God is the God of the Bible.

God gave birth to the Bible, and He is preaching the Bible unto us: “But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you” (1 Peter 1:25).
The Scriptures made it clear that the children of the flesh are not the children of God. Only those who are born again by the Word of God in the Bible are the children of God (see 1 Peter 1:23-24).
God, Jesus affirmed, is not the God of the dead flesh, but of the living Word of God. He is the God of all who have received the Spirit and language of the Scriptures such as Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (see Mark 12:25-27).
No one practices English in the flesh. Nobody can speak English just by wearing a suit. No, English is a spirit, not a dress. No one eats Chinese food and starts speaking Chinese. That is not how to receive Chinese; rather it is by Chinese words.
We must understand that until the Spirit of the Bible enters into a person he cannot understand God, because God is a Spirit. We should seek first to receive the Spirit and understanding of the Bible (see John 4:24).
Jesus Christ, the living Word of God in the Bible, is knocking at the door of your heart, saying, He is a language that is ready to write in your heart, and in your mind (see Revelation 3:20).
Once the Spirit of the Scriptures enters our hearts we become heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ. The only way to have an inheritance in God is to receive His Spirit, the Spirit of the Bible (see Romans 8:14-17).
PRAYER
Dear Lord, I thank you for the Bible, the Word of your grace, which is able to build us up, and give us an inheritance among all which are sanctified, in Jesus name. Amen.

The House Of Christ

“But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end” (Hebrews 3:6).

God created man to be the house of the Word of God, but when Adam sinned the Spirit of Christ departed from him, and he died. He became naturally minded (see Romans 8:6).

Whether we know it or not, everyone is a house, which must be occupied. Each house is occupied, either by evil spirits or by the Spirit of God. The occupier of the house determines the condition of each and every one of us.

Just imagine that there are two houses: A and B. House A is occupied by a drunkard who smokes in bed, sets the house on fire, and had previously burnt many houses. House B occupier is a person who never drinks or smokes, and is always sober.

House A has a peculiar and a potential problem, not because there is anything wrong with the house itself, but rather, because there is something wrong with the owner occupier who might set the house on fire at any time.

The Lord Jesus says He is that good, sober owner occupier who can take possession of us and deliver us from the evil occupier, which is the devil. Jesus is the Word of God, and the good owner and our Shepherd (see John 10:10-11).

When someone is feeling depressed or generally troubled, that person’s body may not necessarily be the source of the problem. There is an evil fellow inside that body who is depressed, and the body needs to get rid of that depressed person.

People cannot do it themselves. They need to open themselves to Christ. Scripture says, “But when a stronger than he comes upon him and overcomes him, he takes from him all his armour in which he trusted, and divides his spoils” (Luke 11:22).

The Spirit of Christ is far stronger than that evil fellow, and Jesus will cast him out. Jesus says, “But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you” (Matthew 12:28).

Scripture is that Spirit of God, and whoever believes in the Word of God will also receive the Spirit of Scripture, as it written: “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water” (John 7:38).

Now the Spirit of God cannot dwell in our natural mind, but rather in the new spiritual mind (the mind that has repented and received the Bible as the truth.) The Scripture is the truth, which is Jesus Christ the true Word of God (see John 17:17).

We must, first of all, receive the Son of God, which is the Word of God, before we can receive the Spirit of the Bible, which is the Father. Therefore Jesus says, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6).

When we love the Son of God and keep the Scripture in our heart, the Spirit of the Bible will also love us, and the Father and His Son will come into us and dwell permanently (See John 14:23).

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for giving us the Bible. Fill me with the Spirit of your Word so that I will become the temple of the living Word of God, in Jesus name. Amen.

The House Of God

“In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you” (John 14:2).

God the Father is a Spirit, and He is completely invisible. Our opening verse says He has a house, which means He has a dwelling house or a place of residence.

John the Baptist testified of Jesus Christ, saying, “I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon Him” (John 1:32).
Now Jesus Christ is the Word of God that was made flesh, according to the Scripture: “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us” (John 1:14).

The one true God, the Father, who is a Spirit dwells in the Word, which is the only begotten Son, as it is written: “For He whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto Him” (John 3:34).

Jesus went further saying, “All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that He shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you” (John 16:15). Jesus Christ was speaking of the Holy Spirit of the Bible that shall reveal the Word of God as the Christ.

Paul the apostle wrote, saying: “For in Him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily” (Colossians 2:9).  The Scripture is that Son of the invisible Word, as it is written: “For it pleased the Father that in Him should all fulness dwell” (Colossians 1:19).

The Spirit of God dwells in the Bible, which is the Son of the living God. Therefore Jesus Christ says: “If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know Him, and have seen Him” (John 14:7).

John the apostle demonstrates this point beautifully when he writes, “Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on Him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed” (John 8:31). The Bible is that House of God, the accommodation of the invisible Word, the Father.

PRAYER
Dear Lord, I thank you for the Bible, the house of your Word. Help me to dwell in this secret place of the Most High that I may abide under the shadow of the Almighty, in Jesus name. Amen.

The Name Of The Lord

“The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe” (Proverbs 18:10).

All Scripture came by the inspiration of God; the Father himself laid the foundation, by the tables of stone He gave to Moses (see Exodus 31:18).

Paul the apostle describes the household of God as being “built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone” (Ephesians 2:20).
The Father gave us His Son through the sacred writings that we may come to the true God by Him. Christ is the living Word of God, and He is the only way to the Father (see John 14:6).
Among mankind, no one is greater than the law, both the president, or prime minister, and governors, and judges, in short, everyone submits to the rule of law. The constitution governs all within that nation.
In the same way, the Creator has a law that governs and rules His creation. The supreme law of God’s creation is Jesus Christ the Word of God, King of kings, and Lord of lords (see Revelation 19:13-16).
Therefore, God has highly exalted His Word “and given Him a name which is above every name. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth” (Philippians 2:9-10).
The Word of God is the Son of God, and “A bone of Him shall not be broken” (John 19:36). The Bible is that Unbreakable Strong Tower of God, as it is written, “the scripture cannot be broken” (John 10:35).
PRAYER
Dear Lord, I thank you for giving us your Word so that we can come to the living God by the Bible, in Jesus name. Amen.

The Way To God

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way…no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6).

The Bible says there are two ways: the way of God which leads to life; “For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life” (Proverbs 6:23).

And the other is the way of man which leads to death: “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death” (Proverbs 14:12).
The way of God is spiritual, which is the Word of God; and the way of man is natural, which is flesh and blood: “For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace” (Romans 8:6).
There is no condemnation in the way of God, but the way of man is condemned already: “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit” (Romans 8:1).
The Word leads to God above, and the flesh leads to hell below, according to Jesus Christ: “Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world” (John 8:23).
The Scriptures live forever, but flesh and blood shall pass away: “For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the Word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the Word which by the gospel is preached unto you” (1 Peter 1:24-25).
PRAYER
Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for showing me the way to God. I shall walk in the way of the Bible so I don’t walk in the flesh, in Jesus name. Amen.
