The Family Of Christ

“But He answered and said to them, “My mother and My brothers are these who hear the word of God and do it” (Luke 8:21).

Jesus says His own family is the people who believe what the Bible says. Scripture says, “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth” (John 1:14).

It was the Word of God who became a human to reveal the truth of the Bible to us, that the Scripture is the Son of God, as it is written: “For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ” (John 1:17).

The Holy Scripture is the only begotten Son of God. Therefore Jesus says His brothers and sisters are those who believe what the Scripture says. “Just as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness” (Galatians 3:6).

It is through the Scripture we become children of God. The Bible is the only way, the only truth, and the only life. No one comes to God except through the Scripture: “For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father” (Ephesians 2:18).

Scripture is that door to enter God’s family. God gave birth to all Scripture, who is Christ the living Word of God. That’s why Jesus says, “I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture” (John 10:9).

The Lord wants us to enter through the narrow door of the Holy Bible, that Scripture is Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Jesus says, “Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able” (Luke 13:24).

God is the Father of all Scripture; whoever believes the Scripture is adopted into God’s family: “For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father” (Romans 8:15).

Only the people adopted into the one family of the Bible shall be saved: “There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and yourselves thrust out” (Luke 13:28).

Scripture is the Holy Seed of God, who is the Seed of Abraham: “Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,”who is Christ” (Galatians 3:16).

The only way to be born into God’s family is through the one Seed of the Bible. And whoever believes that Scripture is the Son of God is adopted into Christ family: “From whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named” (Ephesians 3:15).

It is through the one Holy Seed of the Holy Bible everyone is born into the one family of the Scripture, which is that one family of Christ: “For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ” (Galatians 3:27).

Scripture is the adopted family of the apostles and prophets, which is Christ family. Paul wrote, “Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God” (Ephesians 2:19).

The Bible is that spiritual family and body of Christ. Scripture says, “For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit” (1 Corinthians 12:13).

Scripture is the Father of all God’s children, who is the Christ, the one global Father of God’s very own family. Jesus says, “They will come from the east and the west, from the north and the south, and sit down in the kingdom of God” (Luke 13:29).

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, fill my heart with the Spirit of the Holy Bible so that I would walk in your Word, and do what the Scripture says, in Jesus name. Amen.
